Dannie has a plan for her life, and she has been following that plan to a T. She and David seem to be perfect for each other as he fits right into her life and she seems to do the same within his. This is one of those relationships that aren’t really tested with conflict, compromise and wanting different things. They have found the perfect match because they both want the same exact things out of life. Is that enough though, is that the way it’s supposed to work?
Dannie goes to an interview for the job that she planned on her entire life, and then out to dinner to become engaged, she knows it’s coming. Later that night after dinner, she falls asleep and wakes up five years in the future in another apartment with another man, and with a different engagement ring on her finger. They make love and it’s nothing like what she expected.
Dannie’s life is never the same. When you’re not used to having these types of disruptions to your life plans you’re will never be sure how to handle them.
This is where the blurb is misleading, she wakes back up at home and isn’t quite sure what has just happened to her, the dream couldn’t be just a dream. She tries her best to live her life according to plan and does quite well, but she and David do not ever get around to planning the wedding, and maybe they shouldn’t.
What I loved most about this book is the relationship between Dannie and her best friend Bella which the story really centers around. This is way more than a love story or a love triangle. It is way more. It’s a story of friendship, love, fate, and self-discovery.
This book did not disappoint!
