Hot Tea, and why it’s important that your tea is very hot_ - FB & Twitter

This time of year is perfect for hot tea.

This is the perfect time of year for hot tea. There are many fun varieties too, like pumpkin spice, or Christmas cheer. This time of year I end up drinking a lot of hot tea. I keep a drawer and an electric kettle side by side so when the desire strikes, it’s right there. I enjoy roaming my hand through the drawer where all the tea bags are to see what I might find. Of course, I have my favorites, don’t we all? I may end up grabbing one of those instead of roaming too much, but it’s still fun.

Why a hot cup of tea is perfect.

My favorite part of having a cup of tea is right when it’s ready. I’m holding that cup of tea and it’s so hot I can barely take a sip. It forces me to take a much-needed break. It is necessary to sip slowly as not to burn your lips or tongue or spill it on yourself. It’s even nicer if you are really cold, then holding the cup in your hands feels amazing. I enjoy hovering over the tea as it steams and soaking up all the wonderful scents If you want to create an even more special moment, try blooming teas. You have to wait for a little while as you watch the flower bloom, but it is magnificent, and such a tea treat! Tea Bloom has many blooming tea options and they are great gift ideas! Now that I am at home more often, I have more time to partake in the tea world, Home Sweet Home!

Now it’s your turn for a Hygee Hot Tea Moment!

Sipping tea is not about guzzling a bunch of fluid. It’s not really about quenching your thirst either. It’s about taking a moment even if only 5 minutes to enjoy everything around you. So get comfy, find yourself a nice view and sit down with your piping cup of hot tea. Enjoy the warmth and the scent that it has to offer you. Life is simple and full of these magical moments! We just take the time to slow down and appreciate all the little things it has to offer.

  1. Oh, you’re so right! A cup of tea (at least for me) is sort of a slow-down, relaxing moment. I love the spicier teas that I can just inhale while they cool enough to sip.
